If you know the Borderland All-Stars and their music, you know they are truly underground...as underground as you can possibly get. You've got to somehow find a way to catch their live performance. It's pure Rock & Roll & Soul made my genuine multi-instumentalists. They've been playing all over the Northeast for decades, since their humble beginnings at the University of Massachusetts in the early 1990's. They have an ENORMOUS repertoire of original and cover music, and their best collection of recorded material is a CD entitled MILK MONEY from 2009.
The band is fronted by David Spagone on vocals, guitar and piano. Jason Buhl plays tenor & soprano saxes, flutes, and bass. Founding bassist Chris Houston now also shares lead vocals and guitars. Their drummer is the truly incomparable Jefferson Woods.
Increased demand for private parties and functions has poked enormous holes in the band's club schedule as of late. Check this site for upcoming public performances.
